Sixth edition of the Vitrofestival Romont, a festival of glass and stained glass, is held every two years in the capital of stained glass. This event brings together amateurs and professionals from the world of contemporary glass art and attracts several thousand visitors. It is an ideal chance for families, art and crafts enthusiasts or those who are just simply curious to discover the many facets of glass, as well as a dream opportunity for artists to display their work and meet the public and professionals from all over the world.
The artists Thomas Blank and Diego Feurer are demonstrating different glass-blowing techniques in the exhibition marquee throughout the weekend. The artist Isabelle Giovanella of the Swiss Professional Association of Stained Glass reveals the secrets of her trade through the creation of decorated glass lanterns.
For children : personalised decoration of a glass object or a mirror using the contrast between matt and polished surface areas or they can create a small puppet with coloured glass fragments stuck on a stick.

Sand animation is a cinematographic technique that uses the aesthetic properties of sand to create moving images. Cédric Cassimo, one of the only artists in the world able to master this delicate art form will show you a serie of poetic performances entitled "Les Contes éphémères" .
Glânissimo Concert at Collégiate church. 200 choristers of « Glânissimo », accompanied by a piano, will perform first a choral suite called "Colorissimo, a choral stained glass window" composed of seven creations by authors and composers from the Glâne and in the second part extracts from the Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini.
